This Privacy Policy explains what information MySudoku ("the app", "we") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. MySudoku is a Sudoku puzzle game available on Android and iOS. This policy applies to both versions of the app; where a specific detail differs between platforms, it is noted below.
The app stores the following data locally on your device only - using Android's standard local storage (SharedPreferences) on Android, or Apple's standard local storage (UserDefaults) on iOS. This information is never transmitted to us or to any server we control:
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this data (on Android, clearing the app's storage from Android Settings does the same without a full uninstall). We have no way to access, recover, or delete it on your behalf because it never leaves your device.
MySudoku shows ads (banner, interstitial, and rewarded video) served by Google AdMob. To do this, Google's advertising SDK may collect and process data such as your advertising identifier (Android's Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA), IP address, device information, and app interaction data, in order to serve and measure ads, including personalized ads where permitted.
For users in the European Economic Area and the UK, we use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain your consent before any ad-related data is processed, in line with GDPR requirements. You can change your consent choice at any time from the app.
On iOS, the app additionally asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency system prompt before using your IDFA for ad personalization; you can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, you can manage ad personalization in Settings > Privacy > Ads. On either platform, you can also manage ad personalization directly through adssettings.google.com.
Google's own privacy policy, describing how it handles this data, is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
We use Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Analytics (Google) on both Android and iOS to understand app stability and usage patterns. These services may collect device information (model, OS version), app version, crash logs and stack traces, and anonymous usage events. This information is used solely to find and fix bugs and understand feature usage - it is not used to identify you personally.
The app may prompt you to rate it using each platform's own native review dialog - Google Play's in-app review on Android, or Apple's native App Store review prompt (SKStoreReviewController / AppStore.requestReview) on iOS. This feature is provided directly by Google Play services or Apple, respectively; we do not receive or see any data related to whether or how you respond to it.
MySudoku is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We do not operate any server that stores personal data about you, so there is no account or personal profile for us to delete on request. Data collected by third-party services described above (AdMob, Firebase) is governed by their own retention policies, linked in each section.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
